Two Weeks

Adalyn is two weeks old already. It is hard to believe that it has been that long, it is also hard to believe that today was my due date! Which means that I would still expect to be pregnant for a couple more days. I am so glad that she came early and that we have been able to enjoy her.

She is still a sweet little baby. Adalyn doesn't cry much, just when she needs something. She also is able to fall asleep on her own. I remember being amazed every time Emmett would fall asleep by himself because I don't know that Benton ever did. She likes the binkie sometimes, but doesn't always need it. And after she is asleep she spits it out.

She is spending more time awake during the day which is great since her brothers constantly want to hold her. I'm so glad they love her so much.

I love this face, even when she is getting upset.

There is a phrase that we have used around the house a lot since she was born. It is, "We had two weeks". Since I normally have babies a few days after I am due I really wasn't expecting her to come at all. In fact we had a long to do list that we were fully confident that we would finish since "we had two weeks". I didn't finish her nursery set or her room, I had a hair appointment, I was going to cut the boys hair, there were still baby things I was going to buy, and the list just goes on and on. Every time we noticed another thing that was supposed to get done that did we would say that phrase. But in the end it doesn't matter, she is here and we love her. Happy two weeks baby girl.
