Wahclella Falls

Our first hike (of many hopefully) of the year! Dallin is taking his sabbatical this summer and we want to do some hiking. We are starting now to get everyone trained and ready. We've quickly discovered that everyone in our family enjoys hiking, so it will be a regular thing this year, and hopefully years to come.

We started out by having a picnic lunch. Dallin snapped this photo at the beginning, which was taken at the perfect moment!

The first 10 minutes of the hike was on this nice wide path right by the river. The kids loved throwing rocks in whenever they could sneak it.

The waterfall was beautiful. It was hard to get a great shot of it on a camera phone, so just imagine it being lovely! Benton was pretty happy to have found it.

The boys did great on the hike. Emmett walked about half of the time and Benton never complained once. He was meant to be outside. He thrives out in the open space with endless possibilities for adventure and things to discover.

Adalyn did great being carried, she was pretty tired but never fell asleep.

It was a 2 mile hike and was the perfect length for our first one. The kids did awesome.
