Head Above Water

Hi Guys! I'm here, really I am. It has been months since I've posted, but it is my goal to catch up. We have loved having a family of six, which is still surprising to me sometimes. Six! But it is been a little crazy at times. Some things just had to go, and some just went whether we liked it or not. Blogging was one of those things that I just couldn't get around to doing. However I print these into books, and I absolutely love having them so it is important to me to keep updated. I will be starting now to post pictures and memories starting back in January, while at the same time posting pictures about right now. That way I can write while things are fresh in my mind, and I'll do my best with the things from earlier this year.

Sorry Hudson. If you look at this when you're older and think that I didn't take as many pictures of you, or post as long of posts about your month birthdays, well you are probably right. But I was just spending time with you, instead of posting about you. We have REALLY enjoyed having you around, you are seriously the best baby. And please know, we are just doing the best we can.

Now, about having 4 kids. Oh, My. It has been an adventure so far. I've done what I could to survive and somehow I'm finally feeling like my head is above water. I think about the quote from Jim Gaffigan often, "Do you want to know what's it's like to have a fourth? Just imagine you're drowning, and then someone hands you a baby." SO ACCURATE.

But we are not drowning anymore, things are looking great. Benton is out of school, and we are all home for summer. It has been wonderful having him home, even though it has only been a few days. We have lots of fun things planned and we are ready to play. This is going to be the best summer yet, with my 4 beautiful children to enjoy it with.

  1. Nice to see you posting again! I totally get the blogging having to go, or be put off for awhile. Life with four kiddos is crazy busy but so fun too! Can't wait to see more pictures of your newest little guy when you get a chance.
