Nursery Set
I headed down to Fabric Depot (the most amazing fabric store in Portland) the other day and finally found the right fabric to make the baby's nursery set out of! I have had a few ideas in my head for a while but couldn't find the right fabric to make them all work, and now I have...hopefully.

I love it! Now I know it doesn't make much sense at the moment, but I promise it will turn out really cute! Most of the brown fabric will be used to make animals like these ones below
I still have to figure out how I am going to make it all work but I will keep you updated on my progress! I am thinking I will make a mini accent pillow first to test out the applique and the fabric. Wish me luck (I really need it!)
i LOVE all the fabric you picked out! what a lucky boy to have his mom make him his bedding! seriously though, can't wait to see it when it's finished and GOOD LUCK! :)

ReplyDeleteLove the appliques! Good luck working with the minky. My mom always makes a quilt or bedding, or both, for my boys and the minky was messy to work with. It's worth it in the long run, Davy still sleeps with his minky backed quilt. Are you going to make the bumper? I'll say a prayer for you.
