They say it's your Birthday

Benton turned 2 years old on Wednesday. We have had action packed days ever since, hence the lack in blogging. Now is the time to make up for that starting with his big day. Last year for Benton's first birthday I took him swimming and he loved it. I would have done that again but with a baby it just wasn't going to happen. Instead I found a new place called Outdoors In in Hillsboro. How it is possible that we haven't heard of it before it beyond me because it is the best place ever! Basically it is an outdoor playground, inside.

This structure is huge, it had 6 slides all of which Benton refused to go down. He just loved to swing on the bar at the top of the slide.

The slides are really fast, I know he will love them once he actually goes down!

 

Not only did this place have a play structure, they also had every fun toy ever made! Okay that might be an exaggeration but they had a lot. We're talking tunnels, little motorcycles, shopping carts with a food center, bowling, horse shoes, play houses, bean bag toss and about 100 more things to do. 

Benton had so much fun there. He literally spent the first hour running from toy to toy. I can see this becoming a weekly activity, especially during the winter.

Next we headed to meet Dallin for lunch at Taco Del Mar, Benton's favorite place. It is right by Costco and he wanted to go there to. Who doesn't love Costco? Finally we came home and he took a long nap. Dallin came home early from work and when Benton woke up we surprised him with some of his presents! First he had to wear his birthday glasses.

We got him a little rake and shovel set, I can't tell you how much he loves it! He finally gets to play with a shovel, and it is his size!

We spent the rest of the day playing with all his new toys. It was a pretty awesome day with a super fun little boy. Happy Birthday Benton!
